Turning complex food and nutrition data into scalable enterprise products.
After SPINS acquired FoodFacts, I became the technical owner and subject matter expert for the platform, working across product, nutrition, stakeholders and engineering to modernize the software and expand its capabilities.
The work combined platform ownership with enterprise-scale data challenges: evolving a specialized nutrition product, improving operational efficiency, supporting high-volume ingestion and removing manual bottlenecks from customer onboarding.
A growing enterprise platform needed to scale beyond manual processes.
SPINS needed to continue evolving the FoodFacts platform while improving how large volumes of customer and product data moved through the organization.
Manual Onboarding
Enterprise customer onboarding relied on manual processing that could take weeks to complete.
Complex Product Data
Nutrition intelligence was expanding from a small number of attributes into hundreds of commercial attributes.
Critical Data Deadlines
High-volume ingestion workflows needed to process tens of thousands of records reliably under time-sensitive production deadlines.
Enterprise Scalability
Architecture decisions needed to support the organization's long-term cloud direction and continued platform growth.
Technical ownership across product, engineering and business stakeholders.
I served as the technical owner of FoodFacts, translating stakeholder and nutrition requirements into platform decisions while providing engineering leadership and driving major automation initiatives.
Platform Ownership
Prioritized enhancements, resolved complex issues and guided the continued evolution of FoodFacts.
Cloud Architecture
Designed scalable event-driven automation and influenced broader enterprise cloud architecture decisions.
Engineering Leadership
Mentored engineers, conducted code reviews and simplified complex implementations across distributed teams.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Worked with product managers, nutrition experts, stakeholders and engineers to connect technical decisions to business needs.
Automate the workflow and design for enterprise scale.
I led platform improvements and designed an event-driven Google Cloud onboarding solution that eliminated manual processing while supporting higher-volume, more reliable data workflows.

Engineering Enablement
Move data through the system without relying on manual intervention.
The onboarding initiative shifted a slow manual process toward an event-driven cloud workflow, allowing customer data to move through ingestion and processing automatically while improving scalability and operational reliability.
From weeks of onboarding work to hours.
Automating the onboarding workflow eliminated manual processing and dramatically shortened the time required to move enterprise customer data into production-ready systems.
Automation and platform ownership turned technical improvements into operational leverage.
Faster Customer Onboarding
The event-driven Google Cloud platform reduced enterprise customer onboarding from weeks to hours.
Expanded Nutrition Intelligence
FoodFacts grew from fewer than ten commercial nutrition attributes to hundreds, enabling richer product insights.
High-Volume Reliability
Ingestion solutions processed tens of thousands of records under critical deadlines, helping prevent production delays.
Stronger Engineering Delivery
Technical leadership, mentoring and simpler implementations helped cross-functional and distributed teams deliver enterprise software more effectively.
Technical leadership is as much about removing organizational friction as writing software.
At SPINS, I operated across platform ownership, architecture, engineering and stakeholder collaboration. The most valuable improvements came from understanding where manual processes, data complexity and technical decisions were creating friction for the business.
The onboarding platform is a strong example: rather than optimizing a manual process incrementally, I helped redesign the workflow around automation and scalable cloud architecture, turning a weeks-long operational bottleneck into a process measured in hours.
